Orlando Trip, Fifi & Lala, Mickey & Minnie! The Witch!

We have been away for a bit on a trip to Orlando, Florida. The primary reason for the trip was for Melissa’s convention. Dada and Emma tagged along, along with Nonnie for assistance. Now, the choice was for Melissa to go on her own with the consequence being Emma not seeing her Mama for a week. With recent experiences of Emma being away from Melissa for 2 or 3 nights and the consequences of such, we decided that Dada and Nonnie would tag along. Daddy was able to re-arrange his schedule and off we went! Emma was able to see her cousin Lala(Lauren) and her auntie FiFi(Krissy). She last saw …Read more […..]

What the heck is a Hemangioma??

One of the most unimaginable things that can happen is a potentially serious medical diagnosis from your baby’s doctor. I never knew just how true this is until it happened to us. Approximately 2 months after Emma was born we noticed that the tip of her nose was turning a blueish color and getting bigger. At first we thought it was the lighting conditions or our imagination. As the days went by it got worse. The skin was definitely stretching and her nose was getting darker and rounder. We went to the pediatrician who stated that it was probably a hemangioma. A what?!?Although this doctor …Read more […..]

The Mall, Pretty, Family & Sacrifice

Today we went to the mall. Emma loves going to the mall to see the water fountains and the decor that hangs from the ceiling. Her newest favorite word is “pretty.” Everything that she likes is pretty and the water fountain is no exception. So are the big butterflies that are hanging from the mall ceiling. Oh, and the Easter Bunny is there too and she went crazy! It started to wave at her and she waved back and started saying, “Emma! Emma!” which meant that she wanted to go by it. I did not dare have her sit on its lap for a picture without Mama being present, however, as Mama had warned …Read more […..]

Mom Out of Town,Ready, Go! Hello, Bye! Dancing Queen, Write to Blog?

Melissa is out of town and Emma finally went to sleep. A looooong day indeed! Am I the only spouse who absolutely hates when the other spouse goes out of town for work?? Emma likes to say, “Ready….go!” Nonnie taught her this and it is very cute! She also likes to pick up her play telephone and say, “Hello” and when I repeat it she then says, “Bye” and hangs up. Too funny!! Her dancing is getting faster now. She spins round and round and round at an even faster pace. I can’t keep up with her for very long as I get dizzy. Nonnie can’t either. LOL. I can usually change the subject or distract her but sometimes at night time she really wants her Momma. I’m sure that this happens often to Dads and even Moms. Our TV Commercials

A few years ago, after much procrastinating, we purchased a Sleep Number Bed. To make a long story short, I have some back issues and could not sleep on our regular beds. I tried everything possible but always was in pain while sleeping and didn’t sleep well, etc…. We purchased the bed during Melissa’s pregnancy with Emma. It not only helped this soon to be stay at home dad but it helped her too. I registered the bed online and after about a year was contacted by the maker of the bed, Select Comfort, who asked how I liked it. I gave my story and was contacted a short time later. They asked …Read more […..]
