High Heels, ShiffBeeAhhDee, No! No! Yoda, Go Dada! Caged Lion
In the morning, Emma sometimes likes to play in our room for awhile before we go downstairs. She loves to go in our bathroom and look in the bathtub while playing with her bath toys. In fact, sometimes when she gets up in the morning, she opens her bedroom door and goes straight into our bathroom to do this. She will play for awhile before going to the hallway where the gate is and stand there and yell, “Dada, Daddy!” or, if Melissa is home, “Momma!” She likes to put Melissa’s slippers on her feet(beet) and walk around in them. The First Day
The first day alone with Emma was one that I will not forget. Up until that time she was doing just fine with Momma being home. She took her naps every 2-3 hours and pretty much just ate and slept. She was a happy baby and would always be smiling and laughing. I think that I was lulled into a false sense of comfort during this time. Little did I know that the Mommy-Daughter bond would be so strong… I think it had lots to do with the fact that she was breastfeeding. Mommy out of town, Nooooo, Hi-chair?
Whenever Melissa goes out of town I feel a pressure and anxiety that everything is on me now. Emma is a great little girl and is an angel but whenever I hear her call for Momma when she is not here it breaks my heart. I can usually change the subject or distract her but sometimes at night time she really wants her Momma. I’m sure that this happens often to Dads and even Moms.
